NHDES Clean Vessel Act Program Announces 2022 End Date for Mobile Pumpout Boat Service

Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) Clean Vessel Act Program announced today that the last day of service for the mobile pumpout boat, the “Royal Flush,” will be October 31, 2022. The mobile pumpout boat service operates annually from May through October and helps to keep our lakes and estuaries clean by promoting responsible boat wastewater management.

The Royal Flush travels to Hampton Harbor, along the coast, the Piscataqua River, Great Bay and other locations, working to eliminate discharges from toilets, sinks and showers that may cause algal blooms, aquatic life die-off events, shellfish closures and unsafe swimming conditions. Mobile pumpout boat services will begin again in May 2023.
