Why Does "My" Transfer Station Manage Waste the Way it Does: Public Perceptions & Involvement

This workshop addresses how users of a municipal solid waste facility react and respond to the way solid waste is managed. Instructors will recap Part I of this workshop series and then dive into how the public perceives these changes including the reasons for decisions. Attendees should leave with ideas for educating facility users on proper waste management at the facility as well as why it is necessary to manage the waste in that manner. Operators will also be given some tools when getting stuck between the public and decision makers. 

Attendees will receive 2.5 hours of Continuing Professional Development Hours towards SW Operator Certification.
