Find a Lab

Analyze drinking water samples using a certified lab.

Drinking water samples must be analyzed by a lab certified to test for lead in drinking water in the State of New Hampshire.

A searchable list of laboratories certified in the state can be accessed on the Accredited Laboratory Search Page. When searching, select:

  • Matrix: Drinking Water
  • Method: EPA 200.8
  • Analyte: Lead

When requesting sample bottles from labs, make sure the bottles are 250mL. Request one bottle for every drinking water outlet (e.g., drinking fountains, classroom sinks, kitchen faucets) at your school or child care program. For more information on collecting samples, see the Collect Samples webpage.

The State of New Hampshire has received funding from EPA’s Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation (WIIN) 2107 Grant.

This funding will be used to cover costs for lead in drinking water lab analysis. WIIN funding can only be used for public schools and licensed child care programs. Enroll below to receive free water testing. Nonpublic schools are encouraged to enroll in the program to receive access to the online outlet inventory tool, reminders about upcoming sampling rounds, and technical assistance, but are not eligible for free testing.

Enroll

Labs will be paid directly through NHDES for facilities that have enrolled in the program. Public schools or licensed child care programs must use one of the labs designated by NHDES. NHDES cannot pay for samples sent to other labs.
