Stage 3 Water Use Alert for Upper Souhegan River Water Users

Mean daily streamflow on the upper segment of the designated Souhegan River measured at the USGS gage 01094000 at Merrimack, NH has been below 10 cubic feet per second for 33 consecutive days, such that a Stage 3 Water Use Alert remains in effect: Impose a ban on outside water use for customers of your water system, as described in your Emergency Plan. The Stage 3 Water Use alert will be rescinded when daily mean streamflow, from a natural recharge event, exceeds the applicable flow threshold (10 cfs) for two consecutive days. Please review your Water Use Plan for further details specific to your facility and continue to monitor the USGS gage 01094000 at Merrimack, NH for the status of protected instream flow conditions.
