New Hampshire Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program
Environmental Laboratory Accreditation

Accredit laboratories to meet applicable federal or state requirements.

Any laboratory conducting water analysis tests for the purpose of determining compliance of a public water supply with the provisions of RSA 485:3 and any laboratory conducting environmental analyses in New Hampshire for any other governmental purpose where the requirement of certification or accreditation is specified. Laboratories analyzing drinking water, wastewater or solid and chemical materials for any other purpose may request accreditation.

Env-C 300 Laboratory Accreditation

Application fees vary and are based on the scope of the desired accreditation as described in Env-C 303.05 (see Env-C 300 Laboratory Accreditation). On-site assessment fees are based on time and travel costs as described in Env-C 303.06 (see Env-C 300 Laboratory Accreditation). Processing Time
Complete application packages will be turned-around in 30 days.

Certificates and analyte lists are renewed each year through a re-application process.

Accreditation may be transferred under certain conditions. Refer to section 4.1.8 of the 2003 NELAC Standard for more information.

Any person aggrieved by a final decision can appeal the decision to the Water Council in accordance with Env-WC 200.
