Brownfields Quality Assurance Project Plan

NHDES's Brownfields program requires preparation of a Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) to support all federal/state funded environmental projects involving the collection and use of environmental data. This means a QAPP must be prepared and approved by NHDES and EPA before environmental data collection work will be conducted and assures the quality of data for making environmentally sound decisions.

The Hazardous Waste Remediation Bureau Master QAPP Microsoft Word Symbol can be used as a guide in the preparation of a consultant’s master QAPP and/or any site-specific QAPP Addenda required to conduct successive phases of site investigation work or remedial actions at site.

QAPPs submitted to NHDES and EPA for approval must meet or exceed NHDES's Hazardous Waste Remediation Bureau master QAPP. Consultants may prepare their own master QAPP in place of adopting the Hazardous Waste Remediation Bureau master QAPP. Alternatively, a consultant’s master QAPP and site specific QAPP addenda may reference the Hazardous Waste Remediation Bureau master QAPP by inclusion.
