  • Environmental Program Administrator, Land Resources Management Programs

    This position is responsible for the successful development and execution of policies, regulations, rules and technical programs required to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance, and contributes to the achievement of long-term strategic objectives that are protective of public health and welfare, the natural environment, and the economic and social development of the state of New Hampshire. The scope of accountabilities includes: environmental legislation, rulemaking, permitting, design review, compliance assurance, enforcement, communications, and information system management.     The Department is seeking Professional Engineers to help us achieve our mission, with opportunities across our Water, Waste Management, and Air Resources Divisions.   • Career Opportunities in New Hampshire State Government

Effective 2/1/03, the Department of Environmental Services will implement a criminal background check procedure for all new full-time temporary, permanent, or on-going part-time selected applicants, as well as for internships lasting longer than 12 weeks. A criminal background check is only required if an offer of employment is extended.

Also required once an offer of employment is extended is a driver’s license record check for those individuals who, once hired, will be driving a state vehicle, travel on behalf of the agency or request mileage reimbursement for travel in a privately owned vehicle to a work assignment.
