Simple Wastewater Solution Reduces 99.8% Solids and BOD to ~400 mg/l Using a Grain Super Sack!

Are you looking for ways to significantly reduce the number of solids in your wastewater? Do you have issues capturing solid waste before it goes down the drain? The New England Environmental Finance Center (NCCEF) shared an idea created by Joel from Foundation Brewing Company with the New Hampshire Pollution Prevention (P2) program. Jole had discovered an incredibly simple solution that nearly eliminates the number of solids sent down the drain when brewing.

Spring is in the air, and so is the pollen. How will you protect yourself this upcoming allergy season? In New England, the pollen season usually starts in April and continues into around September, coming in waves. Tree pollen is especially abundant in the spring, while grass pollen begins in May and continues throughout much of the summer. There is also a weed pollen season that peaks in August and September. The reason allergy sufferers have such a difficult time in the beginning of summer is thanks to the combination of both tree and grass pollen in the air at the same time.

Safer, Greener Cleaners?

In January, The New Hampshire Pollution Prevention (P2) Program was invited to collaborate with surrounding New England states with the Toxics Use Reduction Institute (TURI) to do just that! Funded by an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grant, TURI is spearheading a Green Cleaning Initiative with partnership with P2 programs in five New England States; Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire.
