Dan Steagald joined the Monitoring section as the Supervisor for the Bacteria, Lead and Copper, and Disinfection Byproducts programs in July 2024. Dan worked for New Hampshire Department of Transportation for nine years and completed his Bachelor’s degree in 2019. Following his degree, he was employed with Merrimack Village District and quickly became the Water Treatment Supervisor. He brings with him his expertise as a Level III Operator for distribution and treatment and interpersonal skills, which are assets as his position interacts daily with public water system staff. His responsibilities range from detailed review of data reports, issuance of notice of violations, involvement with the new Lead and Copper Rule Improvements (LCRI), and assistance to program managers as needed.
