Workshops for Teachers
NH Project WET (Water Education for Teachers)
An interdisciplinary, environmental education program utilizing water
as its theme is available to any educator by completing a six-hour workshop.
All workshop participants receive the 500+ page Project WET Curriculum
and Activity Guide (K-12), which contains over 90 educational activities
focused on water and people’s relationship to it. These activities were
designed by educators to be hands-on, easy to use, and fun and to meet
the needs of many different learning styles. Project WET activities promote
critical thinking and problem-solving skills and help provide young people
with the knowledge and experience they will need to make prudent decisions
regarding water issues. More information ....
Science Teachers Environmental Education Program [specific to water
quality/wastewater]
A one-day workshop designed to provide junior and senior high school
science teachers with the basic tools, techniques, and background necessary
to offer students a hands-on glimpse of the wastewater/water quality field.
Each participant receives a portable field chemical analysis kit, a video,
and useful educational handouts and references. This program takes place
each year (generally late summer/early fall) and moves to different areas

Stream Assessment & Biomonitoring Workshop
Discover how you and your students can monitor the health of a stream
by investigating aquatic macroinvertebrates. This four-hour workshop introduces
educators to the planning and techniques necessary to conduct a school
monitoring program. Participants receive a rigorous sampling protocol and
easy-to-use identification keys and assessment forms for use with their
