Attend the 2007 Watershed Conference Concord, NH - The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services would like to invite interested watershed stakeholders to attend the annual 2007 Watershed Conference on Saturday, November 17, 2007 from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The conference is sponsored by the New Hampshire Lakes Association (NH LAKES), DES, and the New Hampshire Rivers Council and will be held at the New Hampshire Technical Institute located at 31 College Drive in Concord. Available at the conference will be six informative tracks with 18 sessions and six workshops including “Managing Our Watersheds,” “Effecting Change,” “Organizational Development,” “Tech Time,” “Ecology” and “GIS.” Attendees will have the opportunity to network with local river advisory committees, lake associations, volunteer monitoring groups, watershed associations, and other organizations. In addition, posters and other exhibits from river and lake organizations throughout the state will be on display. There is a $10 registration fee, plus applicable fees for registrants who choose to attend GIS sessions. Registration fee includes coffee and breakfast pastries, attendance at the plenary, lunch, two 55-minute sessions, one two-hour hands-on workshop, and poster session. Registrants are also provided with an option to join NH LAKES or the New Hampshire Rivers Council as an individual member at a special reduced rate.
