Green Your Fleet! Petroleum Reduction Workshop June 6th

Laconia, NH - The Granite State Clean Cities Coalition invites fleet managers, businesses and the public to attend its third Green Your Fleet! workshop. This all-day alternative fuel and vehicle event will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Lakes Region Community College campus, 379 Belmont Road, Laconia.

The transportation sector used more than 70% of all the oil consumed in the United States in 2012, with just under half of our nation’s oil coming from foreign sources ($300 billion imported). Over half of the air pollution in the Northeast is generated by transportation.

More and more private and government fleets are seeking ways to reduce fuel costs, while also reducing their organization’s carbon footprint. Green Your Fleet! provides information and exhibits on an array of options and practices designed to reduce petroleum use.

The event features a welcome from NH State Senator Andrew J. Hosmer and keynote address from Tim Myhaver of Ryder Truck. Discussion panels and breakout sessions complete the day.

Green Your Fleet! also displays an impressive array of vehicles, from electric and hybrid-electric cars to large trucks and buses that run on electricity, propane and natural gas; each accompanied by its driver ready to answer questions.

Three reasons to attend this event:

  1. Inspiration! Listening to local fleet managers discuss their experiences with alternative fuels and vehicles, special equipment, and other new technologies will encourage attendees to take that “next step” in petroleum reduction, bringing new ideas and strategies back to their organizations.
  2. Validation! Some topics covered in this workshop address practices already in place in the many attendees’ organizations, which provides assurance they are on the “right track” in their effort to reduce.
  3. Transformation! Exhibits and presentations provide the latest in vehicles of all utilities and weights, fuels, equipment, and add-ons. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly to drivers and fleet managers who are reducing their company’s emissions footprint every day and learn how they too can transform their fleets.

The event is free and requires pre-registration. For more information and to register, visit: Adobe Acrobat Reader Symbol
