New Hampshire Energy and Climate Collaborative Meeting
Thursday, October 8, 2009, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Local Government Center in Concord
Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Energy and Climate Collaborative will be holding a meeting on Thursday, October 8 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Local Government Center, 25 Triangle Park Drive, Concord. The public and media are welcome to attend the working meeting, which is a continuation of the Collaborative’s efforts to facilitate the implementation of the NH Climate Action Plan, which was released by Governor Lynch in March 2009.
The Energy and Climate Collaborative was voluntarily convened following the release of the Climate Action Plan. The Collaborative is composed of 18 members, who are drawn from leaders in the business, non-profit and public sectors. The purpose of this group is not to implement the 67 recommendations in the Plan, but to serve as the “Keepers of the Plan” and facilitate the implementation of the NH Climate Action Plan through the diverse range of "Implementing Partners" who are already at work around New Hampshire. The Collaborative held its most recent meeting on July 9th and is in the process of developing the support and resources necessary to carry out its long-term efforts, including the development of a Speakers Bureau organized in cooperation with Clean Air - Cool Planet, and an inventory of the efforts already underway to address energy and climate issues across the state.Further information about the NH Climate Action Plan can be found at: www.des.nh.gov by clicking on the Climate Action Plan link under Hot Topics.
